After a year of hardship, Manchester United finally have something to shout about under Ruben Amorim with a third straight win.

It was a huge result for Manchester United, with the result being the biggest yet in this run of form, firing the Red Devils into the top four at the time of writing.

It came in the form of United impressively storming to a 4-2 win over Brighton, ending a horrific record against the Seagulls in the process.

United let Brighton back into it, despite being 3-0 up and cruising through goals from Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Casemiro, however a second from Mbeumo polished off the game.

After the game, Gary Neville had praise for one star player.

Gary Neville lauds Bryan Mbeumo after Manchester United brace

After the game, Fabian Hurzeler told United that they’d spent wisely in the summer, having watching every one of United’s summer attacking signings get a goal contribution.

Continuing this praise, Gary Neville picked out both Cunha and Mbeumo, but in particular the Cameroonian, as he spoke to Sky Sports post game.

“With Cunha and Mbeumo, the risk of those signings was removed because in the sense they had played in the Premier League before and they had the hunger to deliver at a different level.

“Mbeumo looks like he belongs. He looks hungry and that he wants to score goals.

“Manchester United have something to build on. Cunha and Mbeumo will win a lot of matches for Manchester United.”

Amorim was also delighted with Mbeumo and Cunha’s performances, although there is no surprise behind this.

How Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have completely transformed Manchester United

When United signed Cunha and Mbeumo, it was clearly a huge upgrade for the club after years of mediocrity. United had signed two of the Premier League’s best players, becoming the envy of the entire league.

It was clear from day one just how good the pair were, but against Brighton, their transformative quality became obvious.

Cunha and Mbeumo are complete professionals, working so hard and being shining examples of everything a Manchester United player is supposed to be.

Outside of just their workrate, both Cunha and Mbeumo are streets ahead of Alejandro Garnacho and Antony who they replaced, with it being an unheard of upgrade.

The two forwards must be the template for new signings going forward, as they have changed United’s fortunes.
