Manchester United fans were convinced that one Red Devils player was even more disappointing than Benjamin Sesko after the 1-1 result against Wolves on Tuesday.
The Red Devils welcomed Wolves to Old Trafford for their final Premier League match of 2025 and Manchester United took the lead over Wolves in the 27th minute.
Who was Manchester United’s most DISAPPOINTING player vs Wolves?
Joshua Zirkzee opened the scoring for the Red Devils before Wolves fought back and stunned United with the all-important first-half equaliser at Old Trafford.
Ladislav Krejci cancelled out Joshua Zirkzee’s opener with a superb effort in the 45th minute and United fans at Old Trafford — and around the world — were left baffled.
United’s woes against Wolves continued into the second half, with the Red Devils unable to restore their advantage before the full-time whistle on Tuesday evening.

Man Utd fans’ reaction to Matheus Cunha compared with Benjamin Sesko spoke volumes after the Wolves draw
Benjamin Sesko underwhelmed with his performance against Wolves at Old Trafford and the 22-year-old Slovenian striker’s goalscoring drought has now continued.
Despite the Manchester United striker’s ineffectiveness in the final third, Red Devils fans had a lot to say about summer signing Matheus Cunha even ahead of Sesko.

What went wrong for United?
“Cunha has been utterly shocking today,” a Red Devils supporter tweeted.
Someone else commented: “Cunha is sooooo frustrated [sic] to watch at times. Just keep it simple.”
Another posted: “Cunha [was] trying to dribble the length of the pitch instead of just passing.”
While a fourth United fan added: “Cunha needs to pass more often.”
“Cunha has been terrible today. Absolutely terrible,” somebody else said.
Congratulations to Bendito Mantato for becoming the latest Man Utd player to make his debut
A positive on a disappointing night vs Wolves, do you think he will get another chance soon?
And a sixth claimed: “Let’s be honest, Cunha is very ambitious and doesn’t play for the team. He plays on his own. As for Sesko, he’s simply bad, a striker with no finishing.”
A seventh X user wrote: “Amorim needs to give CUNHA [sic] a stern talking to… WTF, he doesn’t release [the] ball on time, he delays too much.”
“Cunha [has] been [a] disaster today. Needed to step up and went missing trying to be [the] hero,” another suggested.
Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko fail to deliver when Man Utd needed them the most in the final Old Trafford match of 2025
Matheus Cunha, much like Benjamin Sesko, had no real impact on the proceedings on Tuesday and the former Wolves ace lacked quality with his attacking input.
The 26-year-old ex-Wolves ace has been a key player for Ruben Amorim since his summer move, but he failed to exert his influence in the match in an effective way.
Instead of being effective, Cunha found himself in the crosshairs of United fans and the criticism is deserved, with Sesko receiving a frosty reception from them as well.
United will now play their first Premier League match of 2026 on Sunday afternoon, with the Red Devils travelling to Elland Road to face rivals Leeds United.
The upcoming encounter between United and Leeds United is slated for a 12:30pm kick-off in the UK.
