Away goals no longer count, so there is no advantage gained from United’s strikes in Barcelona. This game is simply a case of win to qualify, and could go to penalties.
United’s last home game against Barcelona was a 1-0 defeat in 2019. A more memorable victory was in 2008 when a Paul Scholes rocket fired the Red Devils to a 1-0 victory.
Since then it has been four defeats and a draw for United against Barcelona, with Spanish sides knocking United out of Europe in each of the last five seasons.
