There have been plenty of question marks around the harmony of Manchester United’s dressing room.
It has been a rocky start to the season for Manchester United with results in the opening 10 games not matching the excitement and ambition from the summer transfer window.
The goalless draw against Aston Villa means the Red Devils have now failed to win any of their last five games across all competitions.
After a chaotic 3-3 draw against Porto on Thursday evening, there will inevitably be questions asked around Erik ten Hag’s future and whether he has done enough to keep hold of his job in the past week.
Christian Eriksen raised concerns about the dressing room after admitting that United players agreed after their draw to Twente that it looked as though the Dutch side “wanted it more than us”.

Christian Eriksen spotted ‘arguing’ during Aston Villa draw
Eriksen came close to leaving United this summer, but after staying put at Old Trafford he has regained his spot as a starter.
With Ten Hag desperate for a result at Villa Park, the Dane once again made the starting lineup in a midfield duo with Kobbie Mainoo.
Eriksen was Ten Hag’s saviour against Porto after putting in an impressive midfield display in Portugal.
There can be no doubts about his loyalty to Ten Hag after his performances in recent weeks, and he put in another combative display against Villa.
Just six minutes into the match, Eriksen picked up a yellow card after putting an end to Morgan Rogers’ counter attack.
BBC Sport pundit Clinton Morrison then pointed out that Eriksen could be seen “arguing” with teammate Jonny Evans.
“It was Eriksen, he got a little pull on Rogers’ arm,” said Morrison. “Eriksen is arguing with Evans saying ‘you have got to come over and close down Rogers’.”
Erik ten Hag may have survived Man United sack
Ahead of the October international break, Sir Jim Ratcliffe gave Ten Hag two games to turn things around.
A last-minute equaliser against Porto meant it all came down to Sunday’s trip to Villa, but after another draw, the United hierarchy have a huge decision to make.
The last two results have not exactly made their mind up for them. There were signs of promise against Villa with United controlling the game against strong opposition away from home, but ultimately United dropped points again and are now 14th in the Premier League table.
When United return to action after the international break, expect Ten Hag to still be in a job, but still under huge pressure.
