Manchester United fans instantly reacted to Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo after the two players’ Premier League displays against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Friday evening.

Bruno Fernandes broke the deadlock in the second half from the spot-kick before Ryan Christie pulled Bournemouth level against Manchester United six minutes later.

Bournemouth fell behind against United after James Hill put the ball in the back of his own net, but the Cherries climbed back into the Premier League match.

The Cherries secured a penalty after Harry Maguire was sent off and Eli Junior Kroupi converted from the spot-kick to pull Bournemouth level with United.

Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo appeared on Man Utd fans’ radar during the 10-man Red Devils performance against Bournemouth

Speaking on United In Focus’ TalkingPoints platform, Manchester United fans were far from convinced by the performances of both Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo.

A Red Devils supporter wrote: “Mbeumo was the same [as Sesko] before he was brought off, to be fair. If we are pressing, we need to press hard and as a team.”

While another Man Utd fan posted: “He [Carrick] should start [Benjamin] Sesko up front and bench either Amad or Mbeumo. You got a pure No 9 but he [is still] play[ing] a struggling Mbeumo.”

“Amad and Mbeumo struggled throughout, not to mention he [Carrick] should’ve left [Matheus] Cunha on, too,” a third said.

And a fourth added: “To be honest, I wasn’t too impressed by Amad’s performance again. He is seriously struggling [with] form of late. I think he needs some time out of the side, but then again, the same could be said for Mbeumo.”

Another commented: “Both Amad and Mbeumo losing form is the main problem. Assuming we have [Mason] Mount and [Patrick] Dorgu. We need to rest those two. Like, seriously, they [are] not contributing [to the] attacking vibe. In the last match, Amad could have won the game.”

Man Utd drop important points in the Premier League top-four race after the Bournemouth result

Man Utd have moved four points clear of fourth-place Aston Villa after their visit to the Vitality, although Unai Emery’s men have a Premier League match in hand.

The Red Devils are still in a strong position to finish the 2025-26 campaign in the Premier League top four and to secure Champions League football for next season.

However, Aston Villa have been handed the opportunity to close down the Red Devils’ lead over them if they can overcome West Ham on Sunday afternoon.

United’s 2-2 draw with Bournemouth was their final match in March ahead of the international break starting and the Red Devils will now return to action in April.
