Manchester United took on Bournemouth on Friday night, with the game being as equally matched as the 4-4 draw in December.

It was a closely contested tie between the two sides, with Manchester United and Bournemouth both having chances and defending well.

That was until Matheus Cunha won a penalty for Bruno Fernandes to convert, putting United into the lead in the second-half.

Bournemouth then responded through Ryan Christie. But this equaliser didn’t last long as United’s lead was restored through an own-goal.

However, Harry Maguire was shown a red card for denying a goal-scoring opportunity, with the resulting penalty seeing a Cherries equaliser.

This left United on the ropes, but they held on for a 2-2 draw. United is likely pleased to have held on with 10 men for almost 20 minutes.

Senne Lammens – 7

Made a handful of good saves, looked composed as ever. Again, unlucky to concede with a penalty and an effort just beyond his grasp.

Diogo Dalot – 6

Solid defensively, but still a bit of a weakness in attacking positions.

Leny Yoro – 6.5

Quickly becoming undroppable in this team, solid in and out of possession.

Harry Maguire – 4.5

Was having a strong game, but a silly foul and red card gave Bournemouth their equaliser. Ultimately cost his side two points and should know better in this day and age.

Luke Shaw – 6

Good outing from the full-back, continues his campaign to remember despite no return to the England fold.

Casemiro – 6.5

One more year? Another fine performance, which makes it frustrating that he is leaving this summer, as he looks completely up to scratch.

Kobbie Mainoo – 6.5

Looked good in midfield, had a real spring in his step with possession, picking out some brilliant passes.

Amad – 6.5

Looked dangerous at times in the early stages, but his finishing ultimately lacked a cutting edge, as it has all season.

Bruno Fernandes – 8

Scored the opener for United with another coolly placed penalty finish. Captain Fantastic stepped up again. Was also making some brilliant passes all game long.

Matheus Cunha – 7

Caused the Bournemouth defence some serious issues and won the penalty.

Bryan Mbeumo – 6

Another pretty anonymous performance, which begs the question of whether United should make a change up front.

Benjamin Sesko – 5

Not afforded the chance to have an impact going forward. Booked for bullying Senesi with his strength.

Manuel Ugarte – 5

Held it down in midfield, but offered little.

Ayden Heaven – 5

Cameo went unnoticed, but that is likely a good thing, as he helped shore up the defence.

Mason Mount – 5.5

Returned from injury with a couple of minutes of action, playing so well.
