Manchester United fell to another home defeat on Sunday afternoon, losing 3-1 to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Just when Ruben Amorim appeared to be making some progress at Manchester United, the momentum comes to a halt.
United drew 2-2 at Liverpool, beat Arsenal on penalties and then came from behind to beat Southampton on Thursday night.
Amorim was hoping for another positive development on Sunday but United were beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion in a 3-1 defeat.
Bruno Fernandes drew United level after a Yankuba Minteh opener but the second half saw Brighton take control.
Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter scored in the second half with United falling to yet another home loss.

Dion Dublin on Bruno Fernandes
There wasn’t much for United fans to shout about here.
Andre Onana committed another brutal error for United and Noussair Mazraoui struggled in a difficult outing.
United just aren’t good enough at home under Amorim right now but one man did at least give the game everything he had.
Captain Bruno Fernandes scored from the penalty spot and was really trying to drag United back into the game.
Bruno has criticised United’s lack of bravery but former United striker Dion Dublin has praised the midfielder.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Dublin suggested that Bruno was ‘trying his hardest’ and was simply ‘everywhere’ in midfield.
Dublin noted that United were ‘very disjointed’ and the backing from a ‘pretty quiet’ United crowd wasn’t ideal.
“Bruno Fernandes, I have got to give him his due – he is trying his hardest and he is everywhere,” said Dublin.
“Brighton seem to know what they’re doing whereas United are very disjointed – it was pretty quiet in here,” he added.

Dublin raises Manchester United concern
Dublin was impressed with Bruno’s display but had concerns about many of his teammates.
As Sunday’s game came to an end, Dublin told BBC Sport that United simply didn’t stand up to the physical challenge against Brighton.
“Every time there is a physical battle Man Utd seem to lose it,” said Dublin.
That kind of comment has to be a concern for Amorim and co with United still looking athletically short of other Premier League sides.
Legs in midfield have been a constant concern whilst United just don’t have the athletic profiles needed at wing back.
This is something Amorim must look to rectify in 2025 with United needing more athleticism all over the pitch – and new signings will be needed to solve that problem.
