Alejandro Garnacho starred for Manchester United on Tuesday night in the Carabao Cup third-round win.
Under the lights at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, we witnessed a seven-goal thrashing by Manchester United, with League One Barnsley unable to cope with the rampant Red Devils.
Erik ten Hag watched his team put seven past the opposition, the highest goal tally he has achieved as the United manager – although less than the 13-0 Ten Hag achieved at Ajax.
Alejandro Garnacho scored twice and assisted twice in the game, once again being among the best players on the pitch and United’s most impactful player.
Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen both also scored twice and had an assist each – with Antony also scoring, converting from the spot much to his delight.
Now, after the 7-0 win, Garnacho has taken to Instagram.

Alejandro Garnacho sends message after 7-0 win
After yet another awe-inspring outing for United, Garnacho is rapidly becoming the club’s star man.
Against Barnsley, he made that very clear with four-goal contributions and the aura around Garnacho this season is that of a superstar in the making.
Now, he has taken to Instagram with a message after his man of the match display for United, remarking: “What a night at Old Trafford!”
Bruno Fernandes responded to the post, writing: “What a player”, followed by a fire emoji.
Also commenting was Amad Diallo who wrote: “L E G E N D”, along with a saluting emoji.
Kobbie Mainoo added a praise emoji, Rashford a fire emoji and then Joshua Zirkzee a star-eyed emoji.

Clearly, Garnacho’s form is not only impressing us but also his teammates as they all rave about him in the comments.
Manchester United have an interesting problem to solve
After the big Carabao Cup win, Ten Hag has some big selection choices to make ahead of 5.30 pm on Saturday.
The biggest of all however is who from Garnacho, Rashford and Amad Diallo misses out on a place on the wing, with all three in strong form and deserving to start.
However, in beating Barnsley Ten Hag may have uncovered the solution to this problem, with Rashford starting as a striker and scoring a brace in doing so.
This allowed him and Garnacho to interchange expertly and left the pair looking deadly in attack, something we could get used to.
So perhaps, with Zirkzee struggling in front of goal, Ten Hag should play Rashford up top, and then Amad and Garnacho either side of him.
