Aaron Wan-Bissaka has once again been left out of the England squad by Gareth Southgate.
The Manchester United right-back is uncapped at senior level and that won’t change this month.
In truth, that works out quite well for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Wan-Bissaka plays pretty much every week when his fit. United haven’t found anyone capable of deputising reliably when he needs a rest.
It’s been a tiring, grueling season and Wan-Bissaka will get a handy two-week break just as it approaches the business end.
But that hasn’t stopped some United fans on Twitter taking aim at Southgate’s decision.
Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, Chelsea’s Reece James and Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier have all been included in the squad.
In seems as if Walker is viewed less as a right-back and more as a right centre-back in a three by Southgate.

James hasn’t been a regular for Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, coming in an out of the team by alternating with Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Trippier has just returned from a three-month ban for gambling charges and was part of the Atletico side knocked out of the Champions League by Chelsea last night.
Wan-Bissaka is probably the best defensive right-back Southgate has available to him, capable of shackling the likes of Neymar and Raheem Sterling.
Here’s how his exclusion went down with some United supporters on Twitter:
