Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho were Manchester United’s big attacking signings in summer 2021.

While the season has not progressed as United wanted it to, Sancho and Ronaldo both showcased their outstanding ability in the 3-2 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

Ronaldo struck a hat-trick, with Sancho providing the assist for United and the forward’s incisive second goal.

Sancho loves to create goals as much as score them, and being able to lay on goals for a player of Ronaldo’s quality and stature is a true privilege.

You could see from the celebrations how much Sancho loves being part of the Ronaldo show.

Sancho was seen trailing Ronaldo and cheering him on as the superstar carried out his trademark Siuu celebration after his opening goal, and also celebrated together after supplying him with his second.

Sancho’s encouragement for Ronaldo was noted on social media and responding to it, Sancho said he enjoyed being the number 7’s ‘hype man’.

Ronaldo’s hat-trick took him up to 18 goals for the season and 807 career strikes – 136 all time for Manchester United.

Sancho had taken part in the Siuu celebration for Ronaldo’s goals against Arsenal in December, another 3-2 win at Old Trafford (below).

Speaking to the club website earlier this month, Sancho said: “I’m here with a lot of great players and I’m learning from the best. You’ve got Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, Raphael Varane… all these guys have won major trophies and just being in the changing room with them gives you a blessed feeling.

“I’m definitely learning from them, on and off the pitch, especially in terms of their recovery and how they make themselves better. I’m taking in all the information I can and trying to put it into my game.”
