Cristiano Ronaldo is flying back to England to hold face to face talks with Erik ten Hag over his Manchester United future, report The Athletic.
The report claims: “It is unclear at this stage if he will train with United on Tuesday, but he is expected to have face-to-face dialogue with Ten Hag in the coming days.”
United reportedly see Ronaldo’s return to Manchester as a ‘positive sign’.
The club’s stance has consistently been that Ronaldo is not for sale this summer.

The Times reported last month that Ronaldo wanted to quit Manchester United to pursue a future elsewhere. He is said to want to play Champions League football.
Ronaldo has been unable to find a move and did not go on pre-season tour with the club. A ‘family issue’ was cited, reported The Athletic.
United players had the day off on Monday after flying back from Australia, and are expected back in training on Tuesday.
Erik ten Hag has kept the door open for Ronaldo, and told The Guardian he was confident the superstar would be fit for the start of the season if he returns.
He said: “He is training. We all know Ronaldo is a top professional and will be fit, that is the last concern I have.
”Cristiano is capable of doing that. In his career he has shown everything.
“I have set my demand. We want to play in a certain way. A top player can contribute and Ronaldo is an absolute top player in our squad.”
Ronaldo posted an image training from a gym in Portugal at half-time of United’s pre-season game against Villa on Saturday.
