Cristiano Ronaldo vows he is ‘back on track’ after rejoining the Manchester United squad earlier this week.
Ronaldo trained with the first team on Tuesday to prepare for this week’s Europa League clash with Sheriff Tiraspol.
In a message sent on social media, Ronaldo says he is committed and dedicated to the Manchester United cause.
Ronaldo back on track
Cristiano Ronaldo played no part in Manchester United’s match against Chelsea at the weekend, after being dropped from the squad.
Ronaldo was disciplined by Erik ten Hag after storming down the tunnel before full-time against Tottenham.
The situation over Manchester United’s number 7 has been widely discussed in the media, but Erik ten Hag swiftly shut it down in his press conference earlier today.
Ten Hag was quoted by the club website: “Cristiano will be in the squad tomorrow.
“I think we set everything and we answered all the questions. So he was out for one game and now he is back in the squad as usual.”
Ten Hag then refused to answer further questions on the matter, declaring the topic to be closed.

Ronaldo is looking forward to getting back onto the pitch, and adding to his tally of just two goals for the season. A night under the lights at Old Trafford could be just what he needs.
Ronaldo’s message on Instagram was responded to by girlfriend Georgina, who wrote: “With the same light, the one that no one will be able to turn off ⭐️💪🏽 Let’s continue!”
While there are questions over Ronaldo’s long-term future at Old Trafford, until the World Cup he looks set to now be fully committed to Manchester United over the next fortnight.
