Cristiano Ronaldo was fuming after Manchester United’s drab defeat to Everton, and his full frustration emerge after the match.
A video on social media showed the star appearing to knock an Everton’s supporter’s phone to the ground as it was being waved in his face.
As irritating as it no doubt was after the loss, Ronaldo should have known better and should have ignored it.
Now in a post on social media, Ronaldo has offered an apology.
United fans are pretty sick and tired of apologies from the players this season after poor results, but this was a new spin on it.
Ronaldo at least showed some emotion and that he cared, although this counted for little on the pitch at Goodison.
United lost the match 1-0, with Ronaldo missing a late chance to equalise when his shot was saved by Jordan Pickford.
He limped off at full-time with a gash on his leg, before the incident with the phone as he made his way off the pitch.

The defeat was made even more frustrating by Arsenal losing to Brighton, while Tottenham won at Villa and now are in pole position to grab fourth spot.
However, with the way United are playing, the Champions League is the least of our issues. This team does not deserve to get there, and this season cannot end quickly enough.
The team are next in action in a week’s time against Norwich at Old Trafford.
