Zach Giggs set to leave
Zach Giggs made his Manchester United under-18s debut in late 2021. But that was a one-off.
Still only 16-years-old, Giggs has made the bench this campaign but not featured.
The Mail report: “Giggs will not be offered a new contract at Old Trafford.”
The Wales youth international is a left-back and he may already have a potential move lined up.
Giggs is claimed to already be on trial at Sheffield United, The Mail report, and it is suggested other clubs may be interested.
He is not the only son of a former Manchester United great feature in the academy in recent years.
Harvey Neville, son of Phil, got as far as Manchester United under-21 level before leaving for Inter Miami.
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr was in the academy too briefly, but he left when his father departed the club at the end of last year.
Kai Rooney is still part of Manchester United’s academy and hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of his all-time top goalscorer father. No pressure.
