What scouts think of Gabriele Biancheri at Man Utd will decide January loan

Manchester United wonderkid Gabriele Biancheri has been scoring for fun in the academy for two years now, and the next step in his career is imminent.

Already an U21 international goalscorer for Wales, it is surprising that Gabriele Biancheri has not been involved in the first-team under Ruben Amorim.

Biancheri is ready to step up at Manchester United, with his performances at U21 level demonstrating that he’s now simply too far along in his development to be playing so rarely against academy players.

Therefore, a January loan looks increasingly likely for Biancheri and clubs are beginning to circle.

Gabriele Biancheri wants to make January loan move from Manchester United

United in Focus exclusively revealed last week that Sheffield Wednesday have interest in Biancheri on loan as they look to replicate the success of Harry Amass.

Biancheri should go on loan as it could be the making of him at United and he would return a more ready prospect.

Who should start as striker for Man Utd with Benjamin Sesko injured?

According to the Daily Mail, Biancheri is actually keen to head on loan in January in a bid to test himself, a decision that demonstrates his mindset.

Biancheri was previously wanted to leave on loan in the summer but was retained by the club to be striker competition.

However, the report says scouts watching Biancheri actually see the Welshman as a future wide-player due to his smaller frame and so United will focus on finding a loan based on where the 19-year-old will play.

Gabriele Biancheri could be perfect for Manchester United’s number 10 position

While coming through the ranks, Biancheri earned Sergio Aguero comparisons due to his smart positioning, low centre-of-gravity and lethal finishing.

However, at United, Amorim has made it clear he wants his number nine to be physically dominant in the mould of Benjamin Sesko, something Biancheri may struggle to replicate.

But within Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 system, Biancheri could actually be a perfect fit into the left sided number 10 role, similar to Matheus Cunha.

Biancheri has a top class work rate and could push up to form a front two in the 4-4-2 out of possession shape United have been using.

This could be the long term route to a career at United for Biancheri. Last season, Biancheri shone on the left for United U21, and this should be where he plays on a hypothetical loan.
