Manchester United youngster Dan Gore was last night named as the 2022/23 Denzil Haroun Award winner.
Dan Gore, 18, was presented with the award at Old Trafford at half-time of Manchester United’s win over Chelsea.
The teenager was part of Manchester United’s 2021/22 FA Youth Cup winning squad and he has made the step up this season to the under-21s.
Gore has also recently spent time training with Manchester United’s first team under Erik ten Hag.

Dan Gore praised
Manchester United head of academy Nick Cox, who presented the awards along with Andy O’Boyle, told the club website why Gore was selected to win the honour.
He admitted it was a tough choice, before praising Gore’s credentials.
Cox said: “He’s a leader who has come through our system from a young age, always showcasing the desired qualities and characteristics that we look to instil in each of our young players.
“He truly deserves this award for his determination to succeed, his support for his fellow teammates and his strong individual performances.”
Gore made 26 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United’s academy sides this season.
The all-action midfielder is an England under-18s international who combines tenacity off the ball with quality in possession.
He has also captained the team in the EFL Trophy this season, a sign of the faith the United coaches have in him.
Previous winners of the Denzil Haroun Award include Alvaro Fernandez, Hannibal Mejbri, and Nicky Butt.
Youth Cup winning teammate Kobbie Mainoo was also honoured with the Jimmy Murphy Award, won the previous year by Alejandro Garnacho.
