Manchester United’s under-18s side just beat Crystal Palace in the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup, to set up a final against Manchester City, to be played in May.

JJ Gabriel and Chido Obi scored the goals in a 2-1 victory which went to extra-time.

United were the better team and deserved the victory, but Palace will be determined to exact revenge and have home advantage this time around.

Joint top scorer Samuel Lusale joined United from Final opponents Crystal Palace in 2024. He had recently been out with an injury. Now he has returned and will be available for the showdown at Selhurst Park.

The Premier League Cup launched in 2017/18, to provide an extra knockout competition at development level for younger players.

Manchester United won the Premier League Cup for the first time in 2023/24, beating Manchester City 2-1 in the final thanks to a brace from Ethan Wheatley.
