Former Manchester United youth prospect Johan Guadagno has found a new club.
It is impossible for every young prospect to make it to the Manchester United first team, and the challenge for goalkeepers is even tougher.
Johan Guadagno was a young prospect who spent two years at United between 2019 and 2021 before leaving in pursuit of first team football.

Johan Guadagno signed with FC Copenhagen in 2021 after a successful trial, landing a three-year contract.
He had been part of the goalkeeping mix in the Manchester United under-18s, competing with Radek Vitek and Dermot Mee, who are both still on the club’s books.
Guadagno has this week signed a deal with Swedish second tier side Brage, after six months without a club.
He had been a free agent after being released by Italian side Pisa in August 2025.
Guadagno did feature in matchday squads for FC Copenhagen but was sold after one season without making an appearance.
He failed to make an appearance for Pisa, gaining experience on four different loan spells at lower tier Italian sides.
Guadagno amassed 39 appearances combined playing for Fiorenzuola, Latina, Campobasso, and Sestri Levante, Serie C and D clubs.
Now he has a fresh start back in Sweden with Brage. He began his career with IF Brommapojkarna, before joining Manchester United in 2019.
He told Fotboll Skanalen: “It feels really good to finally be able to say I’m home. It’s been a long road here, but now I really feel like I’ve made the right choice.”

Fresh start for Guadagno
Guadagno, 22, was praised by club director Ola Lundin, who explained that he impressed after a short trial at the club.
“Johan has an interesting background and profile and was here to train for a week.
“In addition to the fact that he is a talented goalkeeper who has accomplished a lot for his age, we were captivated by his drive, energy and personality. He fits very well into both the goalkeeping team.”
One of Guadagno’s old teammates is still out on loan from United and aims to get a chance with the Red Devils in pre-season.
2022 FA Youth Cup winner Radek Vitek is considered an outstanding prospect who has not yet played a competitive first team game for the club in 2026. He is currently impressing on his third loan spell.
