Manchester United are gearing up to face PAOK in the Europa League and a repeat of the Under-19’s success against Zalgiris would be a huge boost.

Ruud van Nistelrooy continues his stint at interim Manchester United boss as the focus turns to Europa League action on Thursday night.

United welcome PAOK to Old Trafford with Van Nistelrooy desperately seeking a victory.

Three draws from three Europa League games means United simply have to beak PAOK to kickstart the campaign.

This game comes just 24 hours after United’s Under-19’s turned in a superb display to hammer Lithuanian side Zalgiris 6-0.

Ethan Wheatley names Manchester United Under-19 Man of the Match

United’s Under-19’s welcomed Zalgiris to Leigh Sports Village and turned in an exceptional performance.

Ethan Williams, Tyler Fredricson and Ethan Wheatley had United 3-0 up by half-time in this UEFA Youth League clash.

Ashton Missin added number four before Gabriele Biancheri continued his exceptional United campaign with number five.

James Scanlon made it six as United coasted to victory with new signing Sekou Kone catching the eye in the United midfield.

Goalscorer Missin has taken to Instagram to celebrate his goal and a victory, with United teammates responding.

Ethan Ennis stated ‘some boy’ having been impressed with Missin’s display whilst Wheatley named him ‘MOTM’ – Man of the Match after a fine performance.

Wheatley replicated Viktor Gyokeres’ celebration after scoring his goal and will have been pleased with his own display, but paid tribute to Missin and his performance.

Who is United talent Ashton Missin?

There is so much hype around the likes of Kone and Biancheri but Missin is an impressive talent in his own right.

The 18-year-old hails from Halifax and has been coming up through the United ranks.

A winger who can play on either flank, Missin has been a regular at Under-18 and Under-21 levels for United, as well as playing for the Under-19’s in the UEFA Youth League.

Missin signed a first professional contract with United in July and will be hoping to follow Kobbie Mainoo into first-team action.

Displays like the one against Zalgiris will certainly help Missin’s cause and he may be a talent for Ruben Amorim to keep an eye on in the future.
