Manchester United’s under-18’s romped to an impressive 6-0 win against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon, as Jayce Fitzgerald starred.

The under-18s continued to show the senior team how it should be done as they walked through Leeds’ under-18s 6-0. This win made it seven in a row for the under 18’s maintaining the perfect record and staying top of the league.

Jayce Fitzgerald opened the scoring in the 11th minute before Malachi Sharpe made it 2-0 before half-time.

In the second, Jack Fletcher opened his account after moving from Man City which was followed by a Sharpe second before Ethan Wheatley and Harry Amass wrapped it up.

A really impressive victory for the team, however, one player is particularly deserving of praise after scoring a wondergoal.

Fitzgerald scores a wondergoal for United

It was Fitzgerald who opened the scoring and he did in a remarkable way, curling an effort in from the corner of the area.

The goalkeeper was left hopeless in goal as the ball excellently curled over him into the top corner.

Fitzerald at just 16 years old, shows his incredible ability and reminds everyone why he is so highly thought of.

A clear indication that he is a player who definitely has a first-team future at the club, this under 18 group is one we are extremely excited by.

Huge future at United

There are always players who are considered top prospects that don’t quite make it, so we don’t want to heap too much pressure on him.

But despite that, Fitzgerald is definitely someone who can reach the top level, along with Shea Lacey.

It is unlikely that he will make waves in the first team for a while yet though at just 16, but there is no reason the next few years can’t see start breaking through.

At 17, he could make cameos like Dan Gore is doing now, but regardless he is definitely a player worth looking out for.
