Manchester United’s under-18s side have been running riot this season and have a 100 per cent record so far.
Manchester United’s first team have had a tricky start to the season, winning less than 50 per cent of all games in all competitions.
This is not a problem at under-18s level, where Manchester United’s academy side has won every single game this season, often by prolific scorelines.
United’s under-18s sit top of the Premier League under-18 North division with six wins from six games, also winning the one game played so far in the Premier League Cup.

Manchester United have held back, too
There have been some big performances, with Gabriele Biancheri scoring a hat-trick in the Premier League Cup, and midfielder Ruben Curley impressing after returning from a torn ACL.
What has been most impressive about the team’s performances, is that United could have fielded a stronger team in these matches, instead pushing players up to under-21 level.
Ethan Williams, 17, played one and scored one for the under-18s, before being promoted while midfielder James Scanlon has also stepped up.
There is a lot of talent coming through the academy, with the recent rise of 2022 FA Youth Cup winners Dan Gore and Kobbie Mainoo showing there is a path at Manchester United if the players continue to impress.
