Manchester United’s England trio Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford have taken to social media after completing their first training session in Qatar.
All three of the Red Devils were part of the Three Lions side that agonisingly missed out on European Championship glory last summer.
Shaw opened the scoring against Italy in the final at Wembley, but unlike Maguire, Rashford failed to score his penalty in the shootout defeat to the Azzurri.

United’s number ten hasn’t played for Gareth Southgate’s team since the European Championship final, but after looking like a man reborn under Erik ten Hag, the 25-year-old was included in Southgate’s 26-man squad for Qatar alongside Shaw and Maguire.
Manchester United’s England trio react to completing first training session in Qatar

United’s trio will be hoping to feature in Southgate’s starting line-up for England’s World Cup opener against Iran on Monday.
With Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell ruled out of the World Cup after suffering a hamstring injury, United’s number 23, who wasn’t part of England’s 2018 World Cup squad that reached the semi-finals, is the only out and out left-back named in Southgate’s squad.
While despite being on the fringes under Ten Hag, Southgate once again showed his faith in United’s club captain who was named in the European Championships team of the tournament.
Although Southgate has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal, Rashford will fancy his chances of securing a place in the starting XI alongside Three Lions captain Harry Kane.
After completing their first training session in the Middle East after touching down in Qatar yesterday, Manchester United’s England trio have reacted by posting on social media.
Rashford posted on his Instagram story: “Let’s get this show on the road England.”
United’s Academy graduate has clearly got the bit between his teeth and is loving his football once again thanks to the environment Ten Hag has instilled at Carrington.
Hopefully Rashford can carry over his devastating club form to international football and score his first goal at a World Cup before firing England to glory.
