England bowed out of World Cup 2022 with an agonising defeat to France in the quarter-finals.
The Three Lions were beaten 2-1, with Harry Kane missing a late penalty.
Marcus Rashford had the last kick off the game in stoppage time when his free-kick grazed the bar and just missed the target.
Rashford was a second half substitute and came so close to making the impact he desired.

Mbappe message to Rashford
Like many England players, Rashford has been reflecting on the team’s near miss, and how proud he is of the squad.
He posted a message on Instagram – which drew several responses.
Among them was a heart emoji posted by opponent Kylian Mbappe – a sign of respect for his peer.

Mbappe is into the semi-finals now with France, where they will take on Morocco.
Rashford had a strong tournament, scoring three goals for England, his first at a World Cup.
He is now due back for Manchester United, ahead of the Premier League campaign resuming on December 27 at Old Trafford against Nottingham Forest.
