Alejandro Garnacho says 'he never skips leg day' and his teammates strongly disagree

Alejandro Garnacho idolises teammate Cristiano Ronaldo and is enjoying his time currently being able to train alongside him.

The Argentine this week posted a message from his latest training session at Carrington which seemed Ronaldo-like in appearance and message.

Garnacho focused on his leg muscles, pledging, ‘no skip the leg day’. But his teammates had something to say about that…

Garnacho’s caption drew a very strong response from his under-21 teammates, who know him best.

They were quick to suggest that Garnacho is not the most hard working player in the Carrington gym…

Garnacho will have to make sure he gets into the gym regularly now to prove them wrong, and he’s likely being pushed by United’s coaching staff too.

The youngster has the talent, scoring at a prolific rate for the club’s academy teams last season, and he is on the cusp of the first team.

Part of his next step forward will be improving his strength and physique to ensure he is ready for first team football, and he has no better example for this than Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has always looked after himself and the strength he added to his game as a youngster was key in his development. With some hard work behind the scenes, Garnacho can better prepare himself too.
