Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat has reportedly asked the leave the club for the third time window. This time – he’s expected to leave.

United have already secured the signature of one midfielder thus far in this transfer window, with Mason Mount arriving from Chelsea for £60m.

But could another be arriving? United have been linked with £30m valued Moroccan midfielder – Sofyan Amrabat.

It appears he could be keen on a move, with a desire to move away from Italy shown in the form of three transfer requests.

Amrabat to Man Utd?

According to Italian Media – this is the third time Amrabat has requested to leave the club.

The first time was at the beginning of 2022, with Tottenham very interested, although obviously, nothing materialised.

Then it was the turn of La Liga giants Barcelona to come knocking, alongside United who both looked at Amrabat as an option in January following his terrific World Cup campaign.

Now he’s tried his luck once more and this may be the final time, with his agent confirming it’s looking likely he’ll depart.

It’s no surprise interest vamped up after Qatar. Many had high praise for him as Morocco stunned the world.

“Trust me, Amrabat is a world-class player,” Morocco coach Walid Regragui said at the start of the Qatar World Cup. The midfielder went on to prove his coach absolutely right.

Beyond the World Cup, he’s also been smashing it with Fiorentina, guiding them to a Europa Conference League Final – narrowly losing to West Ham.

It’s no surprise to see the Italian side block Amrabat’s wishes to leave twice before. They’re desperate to keep him. But, you know what they say, ‘third times the charm’. Let’s hope that’s the case for Sofyan.
