Manchester United might have made only two signings so far in the transfer window, but their recruitment at other levels of the club is going strong.

Amidst the squad being on pre-season and Ruben Amorim working hard to whip the team into shape, one arrival has been confirmed.

He follows the likes of Diego Leon and Enzo Kana-Biyik in strengthening the youth ranks, only that he is an even more long-term bet.

The wonderkid has announced his arrival himself via an Instagram post, calling it a “dream come true”.

Harley Emsden-James confirms Man Utd transfer

Man Utd’s defensive ranks are about to get a big injection of quality as Harley Emsden-James has confirmed his transfer to Man Utd.

The centre-back signs from Southampton to strengthen an area that looks good to become the spine of the senior team in the coming years.

Emsden-James posted on his Instagram three pictures of himself with the Man Utd shirt, adding, “Proud and grateful to sign for Manchester United. A dream come true and the start of an exciting new chapter. Can’t wait to get started.”

At the time of writing, Jayden Ngwashi has already liked the post, which is exciting, since Emsden-James might form the best youth football partnership at centre-back in England with the player.

With the likes of Emsden-James, Armer, and Ngwashi, to name a few, Man Utd’s long-term outlook, especially at centre-back, looks extremely rosy.

Ineos are not resting on their laurels after taking over a thriving youth system, and are trying to further improve it and make it the best.

Ruben Amorim proving that there is a clear path to the first XI is also helping matters, since youngsters can see the likes of Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven taking next steps so quickly after arriving.

The same is unlikely to be the case for Emsden-James, but he comes as a highly-rated talent who will be itching to get started in an exciting U18s squad.
