Wolves have been tipped to make a surprise move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire.

CBS Sports Ben Jacobs told The United Stand that he considers Wolves to be a dark horse for Harry Maguire‘s signature.

The Manchester United centre-back is widely expected to leave the club this summer in pursuit of regular football.

Maguire was selected to start only eight of 38 Premier League games and did not start either of the team’s two cup finals.

‘Wolves could move for Harry Maguire’

A number of suitors have been suggested already this summer for Harry Maguire. The Sun has linked Newcastle, Tottenham and Aston Villa. ESPN has also linked West Ham.

Don’t discount Wolves either. Ben Jacobs explained: “I would actually keep an eye on Wolves. One dark horse for Maguire.

“Even though he has not had as good a season this season as the season before, Max Kilman is being looked at by a variety of clubs, so Wolves could lose a centre-back, and that might open the possibility later in the window for them to look at a player like Maguire.

“He is on their radar as well. There are going to be offers for Maguire.”

Harry Maguire did make it into the recent England squad, but needs regular football to guarantee a place at Euro 2024.

Talks are expected to take place with Harry Maguire and Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Jacobs added: “They haven’t yet spoken to clarify the situation.”

Manchester United signed Harry Maguire from Leicester City in 2019 for £80 million.

An exit for the club captain would free up funds, with defenders Kim Min-Jae and Axel Disasi viewed as possible replacements.
