Ecuador is the newest hotspot for talent in South America, with several wonderkids signing for Europe’s elite over the past few months.
Castillo turned 17 earlier this month and so will not actually be able to join his chosen club until January 2027, when he will be 18.
The talented 17-year-old played his first senior game for Liga de Quito when he was 15 and has since made four further appearances.
