Who is Felix Nmecha? Here are five interesting things you should know about the most recent Manchester United target.

According to Sport1 chief reporter Patrick Berger, Manchester United are currently monitoring Felix Nmecha from Wolfsburg.

It is believed that the player would like to leave Wolfsburg early this summer. United have already held talks with the player’s father who’s working as his consultant and the alleged fee will be around £12.9m (15m).

He’d be a welcomed addition in Manchester, with Erik ten Hag desperate for a midfielder this summer. Here are five things you should know about him.

He’s familiar with Manchester…

Nmecha actually played for bitter rivals, Manchester City during his youth.

He made his debut as a second-half substitute in the 2-1 EFL Cup semi-final against Burton Albion.

Nmecha would make just three appearances for the Cityzens. After his contract with the club expired in June 2021, Nmech joined his older brother at Wolfsburg.

He’s a big lad for a creative midfielder

Usually, when you think of a centre-attacking midfielder, you think of Andres Iniesta, Juan Mata, and Mesut Ozil… a nimble playmaker with a low centre of gravity.

Nmecha is not that! He stands tall at 6’2. Despite this, the 22-year-old’s technical ability is second to none. You can check out the lad in action below.

A very religious man

Nmecha is known as a very religious man. He regularly shares how important the Bible is to him online.

He’d be in good company with Pastor Fred!

He’s played on the same side as a current United star

Nmecha is familiar with playing with current Manchester United star, Jadon Sancho.

While he now plays for Germany, he played for England youth and was part of the same England u16 side as the United winger.

On this same side were also Tottenham’s Oliver Skipp and Ryan Sessegnon, alongside fellow Manchester compatriot Phil Foden!

And he’s played with stars of the past!

Fast forward three years, he also played with Angel Gomes in the UEFA Euro U19 Championship Qualifiers.

The side also included Arsenal superstar, Bukayo Saka – so he’s certainly been around some astounding players.

It remains to be seen whether Felix Nmecha will be playing in red next season, we’ll see what pans out over the coming weeks.
