Who is Ardon Jashari?
Ardon Jashari is a 22-year-old midfielder who plays for Club Brugge, where he has had a breakout campaign this season.
He joined the Belgian club from FC Luzern last summer in a move that flew under the radar but the footballing world soon took notice.
As a left-footed defensive midfielder, he is a rare quantity in midfield and Brugge’s Champions League campaign brought more eyes on him as he played a pivotal role.
Mainly a defensive midfielder, he has also been used as a central midfielder, exactly the kind of hybrid role Ruben Amorim would want in his 3-4-2-1.
When and where was Ardon Jashari born?
Ardon Jashari was born July 30, 2002, making him 22 years old at the time of writing. Barring some extremely quick business, he’ll join United as a 23-year-old, if he does.
He was born in Cham in Switzerland and spent time with the local youth club Zug 94 before entering Luzern’s youth setup.

Jashari has been capped by the Switzerland national team but he also holds North Macedonian citizenship. He made his debut on September 27, 2022, by which time he had already made 10 appearances for the U21 side.

He likes to play penetrative passes from deeper positions, able to find runners in space, something which the current team lacks.
In Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1, he has a clear role as the left-sided deeper midfielder, able to combine the running and grit of Casemiro with ball-playing abilities to match.
