“I talked to him this morning,” Ancelotti said. “He wants to try a new challenge, a new opportunity. I and the club understand it. With what he’s done at this club and the person he is, we have to respect it. There are talks right now, nothing is official, but he wants to leave.
“We wish him all the best in his next challenge.” Ancelotti added: “Casemiro’s teammates respect him and his decision. They love him, the club loves him. Casemiro will not play on Saturday. We have signed Tchouameni and he’s one of the best on the market.
“Then we have [Toni] Kroos and [Eduardo] Camavinga. Yesterday, I realised it was a real thing [that Casemiro could be leaving for Manchester United]. My plans won’t change.”
Real Madrid paid Monaco an initial £68m, plus £17m in add-ons, to sign Tchouameni during June. Ancelotti also started the Frenchman ahead of Casemiro as the Galacticos opened the La Liga campaign against Almeria last Sunday, with the Brazilian only playing seven minutes.
Even though ESPN report Ancelotti assured Casemiro over the summer that he would be in front of Tchouameni in the pecking order. While Marca report Casemiro could even undergo his medical at Manchester United ahead of a move from Real Madrid as soon as this Friday.
