Manchester United are looking across Europe for attacking solutions this summer with Bryan Mbeumo among the very best options.
The French forward has been a superstar for Brentford for years, establishing himself among the Premier League’s very best players despite not playing for the biggest clubs.
Bryan Mbeumo has made himself comparisons to the likes of Mohamed Salah, for his brilliance on the right wing which saw him score 20 goals last season.
Due to this, it is no shock that he has shown up on Manchester United’s transfer list, along with other Premier League clubs.
Now, his manager Thomas Frank has revealed where the Frenchman shines.

Speaking to the Northern Echo, Frank has told press that Mbeumo is irreplaceable this summer for Brentford, but admitted that he will be shocked if no clubs come in for him this summer
“It is clear that if he is to be sold, it must be for a nice, nice amount. It is a lot. Really a lot. Then it is clear that it is impossible to replace him one for one. It cannot be done.
“There is a reason why he costs x number of million pounds, and we do not have x number of million pounds to buy for. I would say that I would be surprised if a lot of big clubs don’t look at him.
“I would be surprised with what he has to offer. How many wingers score 20 goals for a mid-table club? And then with seven assists plus his work ethic. And his character. All these things mean that he has a lot, so he is a good player.”
Mbemo’s work rate and character being lauded will come as music to Ruben Amorim’s ears with these being big pre-requisite’s to play for the Portuguese head coach.
Manchester United handed boost in chances of signing Mbeumo
Mbeumo would be the dream signing for many, and the perfect partner for United bound Matheus Cunha in attack. However, United face competition from Champions League qualified Newcastle which could make things tricky.
Now, it has been claimed by Ben Jacobs that Newcastle’s European football does not give them an edge in the race to sign Mbeumo this summer.
Similar to Cunha, Mbeumo is open to joining a long term project with no European football immediately, which will be music to Ineos’ ears.
Mbeumo is expected to cost just £50m this summer which is a bargain for his undeniable quality.
