The extreme option available to Marcus Rashford and Manchester United amid exit speculation

It remains to be seen if Ineos will continue their ruthless streak when it comes to underperforming Manchester United players in the transfer market.

Big decisions have been made thus far such as the sacking of Dan Ashworth just five months after his arrival, as well as Erik ten Hag’s dismissal months after he signed a contract extension.

Ineos are willing to quickly right their wrongs, but Ratcliffe and co will hope they don’t create further problems down the line, even if it leaves Manchester United staff concerned about their futures.

Fans also want to see the squad improve over the coming years, which would mean new signings and multiple departures.

One player who has been tipped for a move elsewhere is Marcus Rashford, with United willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old forward, who has enjoyed a decent start to life under Ruben Amorim.

Marcus Rashford has Saudi Arabia has an option if sold

United are said to be concerned about Rashford’s lifestyle and off-pitch distractions.

With a lot to prove, there’s a chance the England international will be looking for a new club in the near future.

According to the Telegraph, a move to Saudi Arabia is an option while Paris Saint-Germain has also been touted.

Finding a buyer won’t be easy due to Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary, and he has a contract at the club until 2028. There aren’t many clubs with the required resources to match his current wages – never mind, find an agreement with United over a transfer fee.

Ruben Amorim needs Rashford at his best

The new head coach has already vowed to help Rashford get back to his best – but said it’s up to the forward to show he wants to reach the next level.

After scoring a career-best 30 in 2022/23, Rashford has been unable to replicate that form after struggling under Erik ten Hag.

Rashford showed in Ten Hag’s first season how important he is to the team as the club put an end to a 6-year trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup against Newcastle United at Wembley.

Rashford has scored three times, averaging a goal every 84 minutes, under Amorim.

There’s still plenty of reason to believe Rashford can turn things around at Old Trafford because Amorim will give him the chance.
