Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch is keen on making the switch to Manchester United in order to play under Erik ten Hag.
The two have previously worked together during ten Hag‘s tenure at Ajax and had a good relationship.
Gravenberch joined Bayern Munich in an €18.5m move from Ajax last summer (£16.3 milion). He is said to be unhappy with the little playing time he’s been getting in the Bundesliga.
This could mean a move is on the cards, with United one of the sides with a close eye on the Dutchman.

Gravenberch keen on switch to Old Trafford
Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna has stated that following the Red Devils’ approach for the player, he is actually keen on making that switch.
According to the report, both player and manager ‘would be happy to work together again’. Manchester United already ‘expressed interest’ in the 20-year-old, also reported by Auona.
However, it looks like they’ll have to battle it out with huge rivals Liverpool in order to obtain his signature. The Red Devils may have the upper hand due to the relationship between Gravenberch and ten Hag.
The former manager handed him his debut in the Eredivisie in September 2018. This gave him the chance to break through and cement himself as an integral part of the squad.
Gravenberch then got his big move to Bayern Munich. Although – amid a sea of mega-talented midfielders, he’s struggled for game time.
He’s played a measly 348 minutes in the league this season and doesn’t have a single-goal contribution to his name.
At such a young age, he should still be developing. It’s clear that Bayern is not the club to be doing that at the moment.
A move away would do Gravenberch the world of good. Will it be at Manchester United? Only time will tell.
