Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim faces stiff competition in bringing one highly rated striker to Old Trafford amid fierce transfer interest from one club.
Ruben Amorim is believed to be eager to add a new striking option to his Manchester United first-team squad before the summer transfer window shuts.
The 40-year-old United manager watched the Red Devils’ difficulties in the final third during the Premier League club’s lacklustre 2024-25 season at Old Trafford.
Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund underwhelmed in their respective campaigns for the Red Devils and United lacked the clinical finishing ability in attack last season.
The Red Devils have been linked with several different options this summer, including reuniting United boss Amorim with Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Joining Viktor Gyokeres on the United transfer list is none other than Victor Osimhen, who is also considered a potential target for the Red Devils this summer.

Napoli and Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen receives a clear-cut message amid Man Utd transfer interest
Victor Osimhen has spent the 2024-25 season out on loan at Galatasaray and the 26-year-old Nigerian striker’s deal with the Turkish club will end on 30th June.
The Galatasaray striker impressed for the Super Lig champions last season and Osimhen netted 37 times and picked up eight assists in 41 matches.
Osimhen has been linked with United and the Galatasaray player’s future at parent club Napoli remains uncertain after his season-long loan in Turkey.
However, Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu has now warned United target Osimhen that he “must decide” on his club future “as soon as possible.”
As per Calcio Napoli 1926, Abdullah Kavukcu has said that Osimhen has his “family” to think about, but the Napoli star has been warned that “time runs out.”
According to Galatasaray’s vice-president, the Turkish side have “made a much higher offer than other European clubs” and their main focus is signing Osimhen.
Galatasaray vice-president Abdullah Kavukcu remains firm on Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, despite Man Utd being linked with him
Abdullah Kavukcu has said that Galatasaray are “not negotiating [with] other strikers” and are “not thinking about plan B” if they do not sign Victor Osimhen.
The Galatasaray chief added that his position is clear that the Super Lig outfit “want” the Nigeria striker and the club have “already spoken with Napoli” over a move.
Osimhen’s current deal with Napoli will expire in 2026 and the Galatasaray striker has a £64m release clause inserted into his current deal with the Serie A outfit.
Kavukcu has insisted that Galatasaray want to “build a team that can compete all over the world, not just in Turkey” and United-linked Osimhen is a key part of that.
