Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is now in the United Kingdom as he prepares to sign for Manchester United.
United have been pressed into the market for another goalkeeper after landing Andre Onana from Inter earlier this summer.
Dean Henderson is on his way to Crystal Palace having been given permission to secure a move to Selhurst Park.
Henderson has been on the bench for each of United’s first three Premier League games to start the season – including Saturday’s win over Nottingham Forest.
That should end up being Henderson’s final inclusion in a United match day squad with move to Palace now imminent.
United need to bring in a replacement as competition for Onana and it looks like Bayindir will be that player.
Altay Bayindir in the UK to finalise Manchester United move
Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has become the top target for United in recent days.
Fabrizio Romano now reports that Bayindir is ‘already in England’ ahead of completing his move to Old Trafford.
It’s stated that United have agreed a deal worth €7million (£6million) and Bayindir is on the verge of becoming a United player.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Bayindir’s move has been in the works for days and he waved goodbye to the Fenerbahce fanbase after the 5-1 Europa Conference League playoff win over Twente on Thursday night.
Fenerbahce have already secured a replacement for Bayindir with Croatian international stopper Dominiik Livakovic making a move from Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayindir move makes sense for Manchester United
The rumours surrounding Bayindir really started ramping up in July as the Daily Mail claimed that United had held talks over a deal.
Henderson’s exit was always likely and United seemingly had Bayindir picked out as a key target to replace him.
The 6ft 6in stopper comes in for a bargain price, possibly allowing United to reinvest funds elsewhere – such as for Sofyan Amrabat.
Bayindir is only 25 and has plenty of room to develop but also has nearly 150 appearances for Fenerbahce under his belt.
Cheap, tall, experienced but with room to grow, Bayindir seems like a solid shout as competition for Onana.
Supplanting Onana seems unlikely but Bayindir – hailed as a ‘special player’ by Fenerbahce president Ali Koc – will push him all the way.
