Manchester United will benefit from a sell-on clause if Mason Greenwood leaves Marseille in the summer, with Serie A outfit AS Roma showing an interest in the forward.
It has been almost two years since Mason Greenwood left Manchester United permanently to sign for Ligue 1 side Marseille, after a season-long loan at Getafe in Spain.
In his two seasons at Marseille, Greenwood has established himself as one of the most lethal attackers in Ligue 1.
Greenwood scored 22 goals in his first season at the club, only to better that this term after finding the back of the net 26 times. It remains to be seen if it will be his final season at Marseille after finishing fifth in the French top-flight.

Roma eye ambitious Mason Greenwood transfer
After two impressive seasons in France, it appears as though Greenwood will have interest in the summer transfer market.
Paris FC reportedly want Greenwood, but a move to Paris would see him stay in France.
United have a sizeable sell-on clause that will be activated if Marseille sell the 24-year-old forward, with Sky Sports claiming it is worth between 40 and 50 per cent.
But new reports suggest Greenwood could move to another European league.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AS Roma have made Greenwood one of their ‘dream’ signings this summer.
Roma believe they can strike a deal with Marseille for a fee of around £43m. That seems ambitious since the move cost the Ligue 1 outfit £26.6m.
Such a deal would see United pocket an extra £17m-£21m for Greenwood.
The report also claims that Greenwood’s father has held initial talks over a move to the Italian capital.
