Harry Maguire’s transfer situation could be set for potentially another twist this summer, according to a reliable journalist.
West Ham thought they had secured the signing of Harry Maguire before the deal taking him to the London Stadium collapsed.
The 30-year-old refused to take a pay-cut without a substantial pay-out from Manchester United.
This left the deal untenable to where he is now set to stay at the club despite clearly not being wanted.
To add to the reasons he should leave, Maguire was omitted from the match-day squad against Tottenham due to a slight injury.
However the timing made it seem like he has been left out purposely to prove a point that he isn’t needed.
Therefore we might not have heard the end of the Maguire transfer saga this summer, Mike Keegan definitely thinks we haven’t.

Mike Keegan hints at transfer twist
While partaking in a Premier League Q&A session on Mail Online, Keegan gave United fans hope.
MORE UNITED STORIES
When asked about potential incomings and outgoings in the final week of the window, Keegan mentioned Maguire as a name to keep your eye on.
“Keep your eyes on Maguire – I can see a further twist on that situation before the window closes.”
This interesting comes hours after L’Equipe suggested that Jean-Clair Todibo was close to joining United.
Who could sign Maguire?
Maguire is a top footballer, it is just unfortunate that he hasn’t been a success at Old Trafford due to the style of football we want to play.
Chances are he goes to a club where he fits in, and instantly looks like a top quality defender again.
With West Ham signing Konstantinos Mavropanos, another move for Maguire is unlikely.
One club that could potentially think about a late swoop is Everton who have been credited with interest earlier in the window.
Journalist Rudy Galetti has as recently as last week discussed the Toffees interest in the English international.
