Manchester United are reported to be preparing a £55 million bid to bring Mason Mount to Old Trafford.
The England international has been one of Chelsea’s star men since he returned from his loan spell in 2019.
The midfielder was a huge fan of Frank Lampard and joined Chelsea at just six in 2005. He worked his way through the ranks to become a regular first-team player.
But now after falling out of favour in the side under many new managers, it appears that Mount could be on the way out.

Report: United willing to bid £55m for Mason Mount
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United want Mason Mount and are eager to bid £55m for him.
The report suggests that talks over a move for the 24-year-old are set to commence. United want to pay in the region of £55m for Mount. However, Chelsea values the young creative midfielder at around the £85m mark.
The report also states that United may be willing to increase their offer as Erik ten Hag is determined to get him on board. However, this remains to be seen.
What it does tell us is United’s intentions to sign the England international are clear. But they won’t go without competition from some fellow Premier League sides.
Liverpool and Arsenal will be keeping a close eye on the situation. Both Jurgen Klopp and Mikel Arteta will be looking to strengthen their squads for the 23/24 season.
Alternatively, the proposed incoming Chelsea new boss Mauricio Pochettino is a huge admirer of Mount and would preferably like him to sign a new contract.
Would Mount be a good acquisition for Manchester United?
