Inter Milan appear to be very interested in signing Manchester United defender Harry Maguire as they reflect on Champions League heartbreak.
Harry Maguire is wanted in Italy and the defender’s agents believe that a move to Serie A could be ideal for him.
That is according to 90Min, who report that Maguire is keen to fight for his place at United this summer.
That would be a nightmare situation for United, who would no doubt love to move Maguire out and bring in a new defender – such as Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.
Maguire isn’t short of options though, especially in the Premier League with Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all keen.
It’s even stated that Juventus and Inter Milan have both been sniffing around Maguire with real interest.
The report claims that Maguire’s agents even feel that a move to Serie A would be ideal for Maguire right now.
This will be a huge summer for the 30-year-old, who struggled to nail down a starting role under Erik ten Hag.
Euro 2024 is on the horizon and Maguire needs minutes in order to feature for England next summer – minute he is unlikely to get at Old Trafford.

Inter Milan could react to Champions League defeat by targeting Harry Maguire
Most United fans were cheering on Inter this weekend as they faced off against Manchester City in the Champions League final.
We don’t need to talk too much about it, but Pep Guardiola’s men claimed a 1-0 win to secure a treble.
Inter will hope to bounce back but a difficult financial situation means they must be clever in the transfer market.
A central defender may well be wanted with Stefan de Vrij out of contract this summer and Francesco Acerbi now 35.
Maguire would give Simone Inzaghi another option in the middle of his back three, whilst also being able to cover for Alessandro Bastoni on the left side having played there for England.
The problem for United is that Inter will struggle to strike a permanent deal and would be reluctant to pay Maguire’s full wages for a loan.
Maguire may be eyed up to help Inter after their Champions League pain but United may well prefer to sell him to another Premier League club for financial reasons.
