Manchester United have been consistently linked with a move for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Long term Manchester United transfer target Declan Rice is expected to become available this summer.
Rice has made no secret of the fact he wants to play Champions League football, with West Ham’s run in the Europa Conference League giving him a taste of continental action.
West Ham have always sought a high price for their coveted midfielder, and are hopeful of a bidding war.

Manchester United offer for Declan Rice expected
It currently appears to be Arsenal doing all the running for Declan Rice, they might have a greater need with Granit Xhaka set to leave this summer.
However, The Mail report West Ham anticipate Manchester United getting involved.
The report states: “A structured £90m offer for Rice is expected soon [from Arsenal] though West Ham want considerably more and believe Manchester United will offer it.”

Manchester United have different priorities
United’s name might be being used here to hawk up the price and push Arsenal into a higher offer. This does tend to happen frequently.
Midfield is a position in which United need to strengthen, with extra depth required behind Christian Eriksen and Casemiro.
It is hard to conceive United making Declan Rice the centre-piece of the spending this summer when striker is a bigger priority.
United are more likely to spend the big money on a striker. If West Ham wait all summer on a mega-offer from Old Trafford, it could be a misguided strategy on their part.
