Manchester United appear to have lost the race for Genoa defender Radu Dragusin, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Around mid-November, United were linked to the Serie A centre-back, along with a host of other Premier League clubs seeking out a defender.
Erik ten Hag looks set to enter the market looking for a new centre-back, with a sea of injuries this season and the future of Raphael Varane still uncertain.
However, it appears Manchester United may have to look elsewhere, with a Premier League rival agreeing personal terms with the 21-year-old today.

Fabrizio Romano on Radu Dragusin
Ever-reliable transfer guru Fabrizio Romano took to X today to state that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to personal terms with the Genoa centre-back, Radu Dragusin. He wrote:
‘Understand Tottenham have agreed personal terms with Radu Dragusin on a long-term contract. Negotiations ongoing with Genoa as revealed two days ago.’
‘Genoa want €30m (£26m) fee, Spurs want to spend around €25m (£21.6m). Talks progressing.’
Ange Postecoglou is desperate for a centre-half, with the Aussie manager arguably being hit harder than even Manchester United this season.
He’s been forced to play two full-backs in the centre as of late, so a January acquisition was essential.
His debut could be against Manchester United…
Manchester United play Tottenham Hotspur on the 14th of January 2023 at Old Trafford – meaning Dragusin could very well make his debut against the Red Devils if he were to sign.
As Romano mentioned talks are progressing between the clubs, but with such a small fee and Spurs desperate to get a defender in – this one will probably go smoothly.
Dragusin may very well play at Old Trafford in January – only in white. If that is the case, United must do everything in their power to show him what he’s missed out on and come away with a victory.
