Maurits Kjaergaard has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United when the summer transfer window opens.
90Min report that United sent scouts to watch the midfielder this weekend as preparations continue for Erik ten Hag’s second summer in charge continue.
So what do Manchester United fans need to know about the potential signing?

Maurits Kjaergaard profile
Kjaergaard is a 19-year-old Danish midfielder, who plays his football for RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga.
United watched him play in a 4-2 win over Rapid Wien, which took them nine points clear at the top of the table.
He is a central midfielder, who can also play in a more advanced role or on the right of midfield, and has played for Denmark at youth level from Under-16 through to Under-21.
He played every game in this season’s Champions League group stages, including a 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, before Salzburg dropped into the Europa League play-offs, where they were eliminated by Roma.
Kjaergaard has made 30 appearances in all competitions this season, netting twice and laying on eight assists, for a club who have a reputation for bringing through some of European football’s most exciting talents, such as Erling Haaland and Benjamin Sesko.
What they say
Last year, Kjaergaard shed some light on his style of play in an interview with Goal: “I’m a fast player with good technique and vision.
“I looked up to Kaka, the way he played was inspirational to me, the way he controlled the ball. He didn’t have that many tricks, but he ran with speed and vision, and combined that with his shooting.
“I really enjoyed the way he played.”
Former coach Jonathan Hartmann, added: “He had a sublime touch on the ball, was quick to turn and run, and had extraordinary vision for the decisive passes to find his team-mates’ runs.
“I remember the first time he trained with the first team. He was 15 then, and in the very first drill he pulled off an insane nutmeg of a much more senior player in the team, and everyone just went crazy. You could see the raw talent that he had, despite being that much younger.”
Some United fans may hope for more established reinforcements through the door in the summer, but United cannot spend big all over the pitch due to FFP.
Erik ten Hag has earned the trust of the fans over his transfer targets and if he gets the club to push on with signing Kjaergaard on the back of the scouting reports, he could have an exciting future.
