Harry Kane could follow in the footsteps of Manchester United greats if he joined the club next season.
Kane is undeniably one of the Premier League‘s best players. In a more than lacklustre Spurs side this season, he’s single-handedly kept them in contention for European spots this season, scoring a ridiculous 28 goals in the league.
Naturally, with United looking to sign a striker, Kane has reportedly been identified as United’s ‘number one target’ (Via 90min).
He’d be an ideal signing for Erik ten Hag and would guarantee goals. In doing so, he could follow in the footsteps of some of United’s greatest-ever forwards.

Dean Jones on Kane’s impact for Manchester United
Football Transfer Reporter Dean Jones sat down with GiveMeSport to give his insight into just how Harry Kane could benefit Manchester United.
Jones believes the Red Devils do not currently have a striker with a killer striking instinct, much like some of the great forwards in the past such as Wayne Rooney and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Kane told GiveMeSport: “That’s what you need. That’s what the likes of Rooney and van Nistelrooy had. It was a pure eye for goal and selfishness when they had to be.

“United just don’t have that at the moment. Absolutely, if Kane is there for the getting, then United have to go for him.”
Kane would transform Manchester United as a team. Not only does he have a keen eye for goal, he’s also one of the most technically gifted footballers in the world when it comes to his link-up play.
As England’s captain, he is also a leader, which United are somewhat crying out for at the moment.
The striker will be hungry to break the all-time Premier League goalscoring record. We sincerely hope he does this in a Manchester United shirt.
