Manchester United warned over Randal Kolo Muani deal by Frankfurt manager

Eintracht Frankfurt manager Thomas Krosche is determined to keep Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani.

Muani was one of the stars of the World Cup, netting in the semi-final for France. His club form for Eintracht Frankfurt has been outstanding.

The 24-year-old has struck 16 goals and provided 10 assists, with 11 strikes in the Bundesliga.

He is only in his first season in Germany after a summer move from Nantes. And Krosche does not want to lose his star forward after just one season.

Manchester United keen on Muani

L’Equipe reported Manchester United’s interest in Muani back in January. The MEN this week re-affirmed that the Red Devils are ‘keeping tabs’ on the forward.

Frankfurt boss Thomas Krosche told Sport1 that the club do not wish to sell the French international.

He said: “Basically, we have no intention of giving up Randal Kolo Muani after just one year with us this summer.

“We want to continue to walk the path together with him and not necessarily sell him. Another season with us would certainly do him good.”

He added that he believes the 24-year-old can still improve and wants to help him, adding: “Randal still has a lot of issues to work on: on his robustness, on tactical things.”

Despite the apparent flaws to his game, Frankfurt are said to be demanding a high price, of 100 million Euros; £88 million.

For this outlay, Muani would be a risk for Manchester United. It’s a fee being used as a deterrent, to back up Krosche’s words.

It’s probably enough to get United to back away. Krosche’s comments suggest the fee is not just posturing, they are really determined to keep him.
