Manchester United are now looking at another Ajax player with goalkeeper Diant Ramaj wanted.
We are used to seeing United go for players with Ajax connections.
Erik ten Hag’s first summer transfer window saw him immediately raid former club Ajax for defender Lisandro Martinez and winger Antony.
Ten Hag then called on his Ajax links again by signing their former goalkeeper Andre Onana in January from Inter Milan.
Add in links to Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt over the years and it’s almost like United are trying to build a team of former Ajax players.
This latest rumour involves an Ajax player who has never played under Ten Hag but is allegedly being lined up for a move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United keen on Diant Ramaj
Bild’s Christian Falk now reports that United are showing an interest in signing Ajax goalkeeper Diant Rama.
It’s stated that United are battling Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in the race for Ajax stopper Ramaj.
The idea would seemingly be for Ramaj to come in as competition for Onana between the sticks.
The problem there is that United only recently brought in Turkish international Altay Bayindir from Fenerbahce.
Maybe Ten Hag believes that Bayindir just isn’t good enough as United’s backup stopper and Ramaj is viewed as an upgrade.
Arsenal and Chelsea will likely have the same idea, with Ramaj viewed as competition for David Raya and Djordje Petrovic.

Who is Diant Ramaj?
Ramaj hails from Germany and started in the ranks of hometown club Stuttgart.
After spells with Stuttgarter Kickers and Heidenheim, Ramaj moved on to Eintracht Frankfurt in 2021.
The 22-year-old made just three first-team appearances for Frankfurt before being snapped up by Ajax last summer.
A German youth International, Ramaj started out in the Jong Ajax side but is now serving as Ajax’s first-choice stopper.
Ramaj also qualifies to play for both Albania and Kosovo and has been approached by the two nations recently.
Ramaj has been hailed as ‘very brave’ by sporting director Markus Krosche and goalkeeping coach Jan Zimmermann and could be a real star of the future having shown big potential in the Netherlands.
