Manchester United linked goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen has been crowned the Anderlecht player of the year.
The MEN reported Manchester United’s interest in Bart Verbruggen last month, with the shot-stopper valued at around £15 million.
Fabrizio Romano told the United Stand that a move for Verbruggen might be more likely than a more expensive transfer for Diogo Costa.
Verbruggen’s performances in Belgium have been recognised by his club’s supporters.

Bart Verbruggen wins award
Anderlecht signed Bart Verbruggen from Dutch side NAC Breda in 2020, and he has just enjoyed his best season yet for the club.
Verbruggen began the season as a back-up, before seizing the number one spot in December, ending with eight clean sheets from 17 league games.
He won 36 per cent of the fan vote for Anderlecht’s player of the season, ahead of former Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen.
MORE UNITED STORIES
A tribute statement on Anderlecht’s club website wrote that he ‘immediately impressed’ after coming into the side.
It added: “In barely 17 Jupiler Pro League games, he managed to convince you of his class. His saves at crucial moments were clearly appreciated.”
Verbruggen’s starring role in the Europa Conference League win over Villarreal was also referenced as his ‘highlight’, in which he saved three consecutive penalties in a shootout victory.
The 20-year-old is currently on international duty with the Netherlands, having earned a call-up to the squad.
He could be a very smart investment for Manchester United as an alternative to David de Gea.
