Manchester United latest updates, transfer news and rumours…

Rasmus Hojlund boost

Manchester United are looking to sign Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and it appears the Serie A side are making preparations for his potential departure.

Fabrizio Romano reports Atalanta are ‘pushing’ to sign Almeria striker El Bilal Toure, having identified him as a replacement.

Hojlund, 20, scored his sixth international goal for Denmark in the week, from five total appearances.

The Athletic reported earlier this month that Hojlund features prominently on Manchester United’s shortlist.

Harry Kane demand

Manchester United may not have totally given up on signing Harry Kane after all – simply changed strategy.

The Sun report United have told Harry Kane he must submit a transfer request to Tottenham to try and force through a move.

A deal would be costly, and Tottenham would still be difficult to deal with. But if Kane kicks up a fuss at his end and demands a transfer, it will be hard for the North London club to keep him.

Declan Rice threat

A report in The Telegraph yesterday claimed Manchester United could offer Scott McTominay or Harry Maguire, or both, as part of a package to try and sign Declan Rice from West Ham.

Arsenal were the main competitors for Rice, but the competition has just got a lot tougher.

The Athletic report Manchester City are set to make an offer for the England international, as they look to strengthen.
