Mason Mount talks back on

Manchester United are still in the hunt to sign Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, despite claims via ESPN that the club are looking at alternatives.

Fabrizio Romano reports a new round of talks is set to take place with Manchester United keen to thrash out a deal for the England international.

Romano says: “Direct club to club talks will take place within 24/48h to understand how to proceed.”

The Telegraph reports Chelsea’s preference would be to conclude a deal before the end of the month, while  90Min report the Blues would compromise their £65 million asking price at £60 million.
