Manchester United scouts have watched Rangers’ Leon King and are one of several clubs monitoring the 18-year-old, says Fabrizio Romano.
The teenager made his first Champions League debut in last week’s 2-0 defeat to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Anfield.
The two-time Scotland international has played 17 times under Giovanni van Bronckhorst for the Glasgow giants.
So far this season, the teenager has made ten appearances, four of which have been starts.

As well as attracting interest from the Red Devils, King, whose contract expires in 2024 has also attracted interest from Newcastle United and Leeds United.
Manchester United scouts have watched Rangers’ Leon King
King has featured in all three of Rangers’ Champions League games this season, and he came on to replace club captain James Tavernier and play right-back in the 4-0 defeat to Erik ten Hag’s former side Ajax.
While Manchester United have a wealth of experienced centre-back options at our disposal, interest in King could indicate that Ten Hag is already planning and looking to the future.
With Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof all in their late twenties, Ten Hag may feel that King has the skillset to partner the 24-year-old Lisandro Martinez in the future.

Former Rangers and Netherlands international Arthur Numan believes that King has a “bright future”.
Speaking via GlasgowLive, Numan said: “The positives Giovanni will take from the Anfield performance will be the performance of Leon King. The teenager has a bright future, for sure.
“He coped with the pressure and defended well. He will also learn from the penalty he conceded. I really like the look of Leon. He can defend.”
King conceded a penalty after fouling Luis Diaz, but he’ll be hoping to make amends when Liverpool travel to Ibrox tomorrow night.
